Tractor-Trailer Splits, Closing Route 78 In Somerset County (Developing)

A tractor-trailer split and closed a portion of Route 78 in Somerset County before dawn on Wednesday, July 26, developing reports say.

The accident occurred on the eastbound ramp to the northbound exit 29 ramp at Route 287/US 202/US 206 in Bedminster around 4:30 a.m., according to 511NJ.

All lanes remained shut down as of 8:20 a.m., though the exit to Route 287 south in Somerville was open.
